The movie made a gross collection of about 21 Crores, within the first 5 days of its release.

Apart from breaking the record of Oppam, which had earned Rs 20 crore in 11 days, Pulimurugan has also crossed the lifetime gross collection of a few other language movies as well. 2. KALI

Kali is an Malayalam romantic film which is directed and co-produced by Sameer Thahir Starring Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi in the lead role.The film was released on 26 March 2016. The film was relesed in 110 screens across Kerala. the film collected ₹2.33 crore in the opening day from Kerala; breaking the previous record of Loham (2015) to become the highest Malayalam opener.

3. LOHAM

Malayalam film "Loham", starring Mohanlal and Andrea Jermiah in the lead, film written and directed by Ranjith, and produced by Antony Perumbavoor for the production company Aashirvad Cinemas. Loham was released in 141 theatres, amassed Rs 2.14 crore on the first day of release. This was the highest first day collection for a Malayalam at the time of its release. Now the movie is held in 3rd position. 

4. CHARLIE

The Martin Prakkat directorial, Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy in the lead role,written by Prakkat and Unni R. The movie was released in 96 theaters across kerala on 24th December 2015. The film collected 2.06 crore on the first day from Kerala box office. Welcome to Central is the latest release of Janapriya Nayakan Dileep which came on the 10th of September this year. Welcome to Central Jail was released in 89 screens in Kerala.The movie marks the reunion of Dileep and Sundar Dass after a gap of 13 years. Benny P Nayaramabalam scripted this movie and it told the story of a character named Unni Kuttan played by Dileep who is born in Central Jail.
